The Shire Pipes Sauron Smoking Pipe is an officially licensed The Lord of the Rings design inspired by the Dark Lord himself. Measuring a compact 5.5 inches long, this bent brandy pipe combines a cherry wood bowl, durable acrylic stem, polished dark ebony finish, and striking gold Eye of Sauron artwork.
Unlike the long churchwarden silhouettes found elsewhere in the Shire Pipes collection, the Sauron uses a shorter, rounded brandy profile that feels substantial in the hand while remaining compact enough for convenient storage. Its dark finish and gold detailing give it a distinctive Middle-earth look without sacrificing the practical proportions of a traditional wood pipe.
The Sauron is part of Shire Pipes' officially licensed The Lord of the Rings collection. The design is inspired by the Dark Lord of Mordor and incorporates visual elements associated with Sauron and Barad-dûr into a functional traditional pipe.
Shire Pipes classifies the Sauron as a Brandy-style pipe. This traditional shape uses a broad, rounded bowl with a curved profile that sits comfortably in the hand while giving the pipe a substantial appearance without the extended length of a churchwarden.
At approximately 5.5 inches long, the Sauron offers a much more compact profile than long-stemmed fantasy pipes. The bent stem keeps the silhouette visually distinctive while making the pipe easier to store and handle.
The Sauron's bowl is crafted from real cherry wood, providing the traditional natural-wood foundation expected from a classic smoking pipe. The rounded brandy shape gives the bowl a comfortable hand feel while providing useful chamber capacity.
A deep polished ebony finish gives the cherry wood bowl its dark, refined appearance. The blackened finish reinforces the Mordor-inspired theme and creates strong contrast with the gold Eye of Sauron artwork.
The bowl is decorated with a gold Eye of Sauron design, creating the visual centerpiece of the pipe. The metallic artwork stands out against the dark finish and gives the Sauron strong collectible appeal for Lord of the Rings fans.
The Sauron uses an acrylic stem with a tapered mouthpiece. Acrylic provides a durable, low-maintenance alternative to traditional stem materials and is resistant to oxidation while remaining straightforward to clean.
The bowl measures approximately 1.20" across the exterior, 0.70" internally, and 1.29" deep. Its tall internal chamber gives the compact 5.5-inch pipe useful capacity without sacrificing the rounded proportions of the brandy shape.
The Sauron includes a metal filter as part of its smoking setup. Three additional bowl screens are also included, giving you replacement filtration options for ongoing use.
Shire Pipes includes several practical accessories with the Sauron. The package contains a metal filter, three bowl screens, a combination poker and tamper tool, and three pipe cleaners for routine bowl and airway maintenance.
A drawstring storage pouch is included to help protect the pipe between sessions and keep it organized with its accessories. Shire Pipes also supplies the Sauron in branded gift-ready packaging, making it a strong collectible or gift for Tolkien fans.
