The Shire Pipes Evenstar Smoking Pipe is an officially licensed The Lord of the Rings design inspired by Arwen, the Evenstar of Rivendell. Measuring approximately 10.5 inches long, this elegant Lovat-style pipe combines a rounded cherry wood bowl, spiral wood shank, bent stem, and acrylic saddle mouthpiece with engraved winged imagery and flowing knotwork inspired by Elvish design.
Built with a traditional mortise-and-tenon connection, the Evenstar blends functional pipe construction with collectible Middle-earth styling. Its graceful proportions, natural cherry wood, and detailed engraving make it equally suited to regular use, display, or gifting to a Lord of the Rings fan.
The Evenstar is part of Shire Pipes' officially licensed The Lord of the Rings collection. Its design draws inspiration from Arwen and the Elvish architecture and decorative motifs associated with Rivendell and Lothlórien.
Shire Pipes classifies the Evenstar as a Lovat-style pipe. Its elongated shank, rounded bowl, bent stem, and saddle mouthpiece create a refined traditional profile while the 10.5-inch overall length gives the pipe a distinctive presence.
One of the Evenstar's most distinctive features is its spiral cherry wood shank. The twisting shape is inspired by flowing Elvish architecture and gives the pipe a sculptural appearance that separates it from a conventional straight wood pipe.
The rounded bowl is decorated with an engraved winged figure of light surrounded by a continuous knot design. These details reinforce the Evenstar theme while giving the natural cherry wood bowl strong collectible and display appeal.
Both the bowl and stem are crafted from cherry wood, giving the Evenstar a warm, natural appearance and traditional wood-pipe feel. The long wooden structure is finished with a contrasting acrylic mouthpiece for comfortable use.
The Evenstar uses an acrylic saddle mouthpiece at the end of its bent stem. The flatter saddle-style shape creates a comfortable finishing point while visually balancing the thicker wood shank.
The Evenstar features a rounded bowl measuring approximately 1.17" across the exterior, 0.75" internally, and 1.39" deep. The deeper chamber provides useful capacity while maintaining the elegant proportions of the Lovat design.
A traditional mortise-and-tenon connection joins the components of the Evenstar. This removable construction makes the pipe easier to maintain while preserving the smooth transition between the spiral wood shank and mouthpiece.
The Evenstar includes both a charcoal filter and a metal filter, giving you multiple included filtration components for configuring and maintaining the pipe.
Shire Pipes also includes three bowl screens, a combination poker and tamper, and three pipe cleaners. These accessories provide the basic tools needed for bowl preparation and routine maintenance of the pipe's extended airway.
The Evenstar arrives in branded Shire Pipes gift packaging, adding to its appeal as a collectible piece or gift for a Tolkien and Lord of the Rings fan.
