The Ball Vaporizer Microdose Diffuser Bowl Kit is designed for smaller, more efficient loads with compatible Ruby Twist and Ruby Twist PRO ball vaporizer setups. Its innovative diffuser bowl design places the bowl within the injector nozzle of the metal housing, keeping your material close to the heater for fast vapor production and convenient microdose-friendly use.
This setup also allows heat transfer between the metal housing and the glass bowl, creating a hybrid vaporizer effect by combining conduction and convection. Use it for faster extractions, one-hit style performance at higher temperatures, or lower PID temperatures when you want to take advantage of the optional hybrid heat-soak method.
The Microdose Diffuser Bowl is built for smaller loads, with an approximate capacity of 0.07g to 0.2g. The adjustable basket screen lets you increase or decrease the amount of herb loaded, making it easier to dial in smaller sessions without wasting material.
This diffuser bowl kit is compatible with the Ruby Twist and Ruby Twist PRO ball vaporizer kits. It is made for injector-style use, including the Ruby Twist Injector and Ruby Twist PRO Injector setup. The kit includes a 14mm male joint; use a reducer for compatible 18mm joints.
To use the Microdose Bowl as a hybrid bowl, load your material inside and allow the setup to heat soak with the housing on top for about 20–30 seconds before inhaling. This step is optional. The primary purpose of the bowl is to increase vaporization speed and enable one-hit extractions at higher temperatures, but the hybrid option also allows for lower set temperatures on the PID controller.
For proper hybrid function, make sure the basket screen is positioned no lower than the bottom of the injector housing while in use. If the screen is set too low, the glass around the herb will not be heated evenly.
For optimal performance, use a medium grind to allow adequate airflow. A finer grind can also be used, but it may become more compacted and decrease airflow. Whichever grind you choose, make sure no herb protrudes above the top of the bowl, as contact with the metal housing may lead to combustion.
Avoid forcefully tamping down the herb, as this can significantly restrict airflow. Instead, evenly arrange the herb to fill the screen without applying pressure. For easier microdose loading, the mini scoop can help prevent spills.
One of the unique advantages of this diffuser bowl is the ability to use a straw-style loading and unloading technique. Simply insert the bowl into your ground herb and inhale to draw the herb into the screen, then blow through it to empty.
You can also do a direct inhale by removing the glass stopper, covering the carbed port with your thumb, and loading the herb using the straw method or with a mini scoop. Gently flatten the herb to prevent any from falling out of the bowl. Then, put the glass joint in your mouth, place the Twist Housing over the chamber end, and inhale.
The diffuser bowl’s basket screen can be adjusted to increase or decrease the amount of herb loaded. Be careful not to push the screen down into the carbed section, as it may be difficult to retrieve. To adjust the screen, we recommend using a Marble Pick, Character Pick, or another suitable tool.
Like the Ruby Twist and Ruby Twist PRO kits, this bowl features a 14.4mm carbed port with a glass stopper for convenient vapor clearance. This gives you more control over clearing the bowl and makes the piece easier to manage during a session.
