Give your setup a more cosmic look with the Empire Glassworks Galactic Bowl. Individually handcrafted in Atwood, California, this artistic 14mm glass bowl combines colorful sculptural glasswork, functional borosilicate construction, and UV reactive details in one compact accessory.
The Galactic Bowl is designed for glass enthusiasts who want more than a plain replacement bowl. Its space-inspired appearance gives your compatible water pipe an immediate visual upgrade, while its standard 14mm joint and single-hole / funnel-style configuration keep the piece practical for regular use.
Empire Glassworks is known for taking everyday functional glass accessories and turning them into detailed pieces of art. The Galactic Bowl follows that approach with a colorful, cosmic-inspired design that gives a standard bowl piece significantly more personality.
Rather than disappearing into the rest of your setup, the Galactic Bowl is designed to become part of its visual identity. Pair it with simple clear glass to make the bowl itself the focal point, or combine it with other colorful accessories to build a more expressive setup.
The artistic approach also makes this piece appealing to collectors. It remains a functional bowl, but its handcrafted construction and distinctive appearance give it the character of a small collectible glass piece.
One of the standout features of the Empire Glassworks Galactic Bowl is its UV reactive construction. Under compatible UV lighting, reactive elements in the glass can produce an additional visual effect that gives the piece a different appearance than it has under normal lighting.
This feature makes the Galactic Bowl especially interesting for display setups, glass collections, or anyone who enjoys pieces with visual details that are not immediately obvious at first glance.
UV reactivity complements the bowl's galactic theme particularly well, adding another dimension to the colorful, space-inspired aesthetic without changing its everyday function as a 14mm bowl.
Each Galactic Bowl is individually handcrafted in Atwood, California. Instead of being produced as a completely uniform molded accessory, each piece is created through a hands-on glassworking process that allows the artists to build its decorative elements directly into the glass.
Because of this handmade construction, small differences in color placement, proportions, shape, detailing, and finish can occur from one Galactic Bowl to another. These variations are normal and are part of the character of handcrafted glass.
No two individually made pieces need to be perfectly identical to deliver the same overall design. For collectors in particular, those subtle differences help make each finished bowl feel more individual.
The Galactic Bowl is made from borosilicate / Pyrex glass, a material widely used for quality functional glass because of its resistance to heat and temperature changes compared with ordinary glass.
Borosilicate glass also works particularly well for artistic pieces because it allows skilled glassworkers to create detailed shapes, layered colors, and decorative effects while retaining the functional characteristics expected from a glass bowl.
As with any handcrafted glass accessory, however, it should still be handled carefully. Avoid drops, hard impacts, and unnecessary physical stress that could damage the glass or its detailed decorative work.
The Empire Glassworks Galactic Bowl features a 14mm joint for pairing with compatible water pipes and glass pieces designed to accept a 14mm bowl.
This common joint size makes the Galactic Bowl an easy way to change the look of an existing compatible setup without replacing the entire piece. Simply confirm your glass uses the correct 14mm connection before ordering.

Measuring approximately 2.25" x 1.8", the Galactic Bowl delivers a surprising amount of decorative detail in a relatively compact package.
The smaller footprint helps keep the accessory manageable on compatible glass while still providing enough space for the galactic design and UV reactive elements to stand out. This balance makes it suitable for both everyday setups and more decorative glass collections.
Its compact size also makes it easy to swap between compatible pieces whenever you want to change the appearance of your setup.
The Galactic Bowl uses a single-hole / funnel-style bowl configuration. This combines the artistic exterior with a familiar functional design, allowing the piece to serve as more than just a decorative object.
The result is a bowl that keeps recognizable functionality while giving you considerably more personality than a basic clear replacement slide.
A bowl is one of the easiest components to change when you want to refresh the appearance of a water pipe. Swapping a plain bowl for the Galactic Bowl gives you an immediate visual change without requiring an entirely new glass piece.
Its combination of sculptural details and UV reactivity makes it especially useful when you want one smaller accessory to have a large effect on the overall look of your setup.
You can also rotate the Galactic Bowl with other compatible bowls depending on your mood, setup, or display, making it an easy way to keep your glass collection feeling fresh.
The Galactic Bowl works equally well as a functional accessory or as part of a larger handmade glass collection. Its compact dimensions make it easy to display, while the 14mm joint gives it a practical role in compatible setups.
Collectors who already enjoy the distinctive style of Empire Glassworks can use the Galactic Bowl to add another small-format piece to their collection without moving into a much larger glass accessory.
