Place a compatible Captive Cap on an assembled DynaVap device. Gently press the Captive Cap into the Titanium Cap Armor until you hear an audible click. Installing it while the Cap is mounted on an assembled device provides better support during the press-fit process.
Remove the Cap Armor while the Captive Cap is installed on a Tip. Hold the digger-outer with your thumb against the Tip, then gently wiggle and pull the Cap Armor away from the Cap. This allows the components to separate without applying excessive force.
Do not push the Captive Cap out through the top of the Cap Armor. Doing so may dent the Cap.
Because Titanium Cap Armor uses a press-fit design, minor dents or impressions may appear on the upper crimp area of the Captive Cap. This is normal and will not affect the function of either component.
