Two Burger Bowls may look extremely similar without being perfectly identical, which is part of the character of handmade glass.

Those small variations are a natural result of the handcrafted process and help distinguish each piece from a completely mass-produced accessory.

Borosilicate / Pyrex Glass Construction

The Burger Bowl is made from borosilicate / Pyrex glass, a material commonly used for quality functional glass accessories because of its ability to withstand heat and temperature changes better than ordinary glass.

Borosilicate glass also gives glass artists the versatility needed to create the sculptural shapes, layered details, and decorative elements found throughout the Empire Glassworks lineup.

While borosilicate is durable for functional glass use, this is still a handcrafted glass accessory.
